I got what I paid for August 19, 2006 Reviewer:  Smallapartmentdweller (Seattle)  See all my reviews >

Keeping in mind [the price] i am very pleased with it. It's Love seat sized, and actually very soft and comfy. we set it up really quick, with no problems.
Love it!

Don't waste your money. May 10, 2007 Reviewer:  td (Orlando, FL)  See all my reviews >

I wish I had spent the extra money for a full size Futon with a thicker mattress. This Futon is very uncomfortable. The mattress is so thin it hurts to sit for too long. I certainly wouldn't want to spend a whole night sleeping on the thing much less subject a guest to that torcher. Also the back pad never stays in place. It either slips down or bends forward in the middle. The only plus of this design is the different positions the sides can fold into. (Color in the picture is acurate.) Had I paid better attention to the date on the receipt, I would have returned it. Once I can afford to replace it, it will be carted off to the Good Will.

ehhh... June 2, 2008 Reviewer:  Emily M (Johnson City,TN)  See all my reviews >

I would suggest any other futon. Thin uncomfortable mattress, everything slides off the frame really bad. I am embarrassed to have any company stay overnight on this futon!

So far, so good February 28, 2007 Reviewer:  Lisa "Lisa" (Texas)  See all my reviews >

Even after reading all of the negative reviews, I purchase the Mali Flex Futon because a friend had one, but in a different color. I like it. It arrived yesterday and I put it together in 30 minutes or less (I am a petite woman). It is the perfect size for my very small office/2nd bedroom. For those that think it looks cheap, remember it was under $200. With some decorative pillows, rug and accessories you can really dress this up. As far as the slats breaking, I testing it out last night and so far, so good.

You get what you pay for...maybe less February 22, 2007 Reviewer:  Caylasmom (Long Island, NY)  See all my reviews >

It looks cheap. Only sleeps one small person. We wish we didnt buy it. Could have gotten something nicer for the price when you include delivery charges. Maybe it would be nice for a college dorm, but not for my home. I am now looking for someone to give it to or maybe we will put it in the basement.

jusy okay November 14, 2007 Reviewer:  Smiley B (Levenworth KS)  See all my reviews >

The mattress is a little thin so I wish I had spent a little more money. Not a couch you'd want to sit in for a long time.

??? What are your needs August 4, 2006 Reviewer:  E of OZ "E of OZ" (Ozone Park, NY)  See all my reviews >

This is great for a guest room or where it won't be used. I agree with the other guy about the slats falling out. I guess it goes to show you you get what you pay for. I used this futon for months as my primary seating, it didn't hold up as well as I expected and I had to purchase something else. It is still in my living room and we laugh when our guests [...] fall through the bottom.

Good for the money... July 20, 2006 Reviewer:  N. Yetter Real Name (Sunnyvale, CA, USA)  See all my reviews >

I just received my futon (plank color) yesterday so I am not certain if it will stand the test of time but it looks good. I am redecorating a new house and I put this in the smaller guest bedroom along with the Global Home Ipanema jute rug (not available online but check your local store) which is striped with the exact same colors in the futon. I added two green throw pillows to add a little more color (which is in the rug) and all together it looks fantastic.

I think it would also go very well in our bedroom where I am using the Global Home Ipanema striped bedspread (available online) - as the colors in the bedspread would compliment it as well. The colors of this futon allow it to have a lot of decorating diversity - which is really nice to have.

So far the only thing that I don't like about it is the quality of the material used - it is slightly on the cheap side - but the combination of colors and the flexibility of this futon/lounger is good for the money spent.

Fallen Slats June 15, 2006 Reviewer:  JB (Texas)  See all my reviews >

I loved the Mali Flex Futon until the slats started falling out. The slats are very thick but the plastic ends that hold the slats are not the best design -- the ends of the wooden slats slip out of the plastic ends attached to the frame. This futon was my place to lie down and watch TV after I retired a few months ago -- I weigh 143 and when the slats started falling out it made the futon very uncomfortable. I certainly didn't jump on it or stand on it or treat it rough in any way. I still like it and think about different ways to fix it and haven't come up with a solution yet.

Cheap Metal Frame March 11, 2006 Reviewer:  Sad College Kid (Savannah, GA, USA)  See all my reviews >

I bought this item because it had a very modern sleek look to it. It came in the mail and I put it together with simple instructions. Less that 12 hours later the frame that held one side of the legs had ripped and it couldn't stand up anymore. It was a sofa that leaned on the floor with two legs on one side and no legs on the other. It was comfortable while it lasted though.
